Dear Friends,
Our vibrant Jeevan Samvardhan Foundation always strives relentlessly to create integrated and well cultured development of the entire society. As part of endeavor, in March, we had conducted survey of families and their small girls that are living on footpaths/platforms in suburbs of Mumbai. Based on the survey outcome, we anchored a “pro-study camp” during 16-19 May at Oak Vanaushadhi kendra(details present on our website), near Karjat-Mumbai. The camp had a phenomenal response and all the 60 girls from poor background who participated, shown keen interest to study further. Delighted by their enthusiasm and determination, foundation has taken a decision to take responsibility of all 60 girl’s education.
Secondly, Our team already works tirelessly in the Katkari tribal community, in Paud- Near Pune. This tribe although in vicinity of Pune city, leaves in jungles and struggles to meet the basic human needs. They try to make their living haphazardly based on jungle products. Because of their primitive lifestyle, they tend to be ignorant about education and its importance, in today’s context. As our team is working on the ground level with them, we sense the hour of need and as a result, planing to take responsibility of 30 Katkari children as well for their education.
So effectively, as a plan, in all 90 (60+ 30) aspiring students would be on boarded, who would require basic educational needs( books, notebooks etc) along with hosteling, clothing, daily food as well as supervision to monitor their progress. As we propose to transform the needy student to a responsible citizen of tomorrow, you may be able to foresight about the financials associated. Its estimated to 26,000 rupees per student per year. Massive task, yes in deed, but with fire in the belly and passionate about our objective, we have geared up. How delighted we would be, if you could join helping hands to move this mammoth task!
As a compassionate reader, we would request everyone to come forward and support this noble cause. We do understand that, it may not be feasible for everyone to contribute this amount entirely. However you may offer your assistance in your own capacity, as we feel, it will certainly bring a sense of satisfaction of giving back to society and fulfillment of shaping a bright future!
